Panchakarma Treatment – Ayurvedic Detox

3 hrs
from $595

Panchakarma treatment is an Ayurvedic detox program for cleansing built-up waste that your body struggles to remove.

At Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, your Panchakarma treatment is a structured Ayurvedic cleanse, detoxification, and reset under professional supervision. Our Ayurvedic doctor first assesses your suitability and creates a personalised plan over consecutive days, starting with a detailed consultation and preparation covering your diet and lifestyle.

Your personalised treatment plan may include Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Kizhi, Pizhichil, Udvartana, Nasya, steam, local Basti therapies, and other procedures selected based on your constitution and health. We also provide tailored food during your Panchakarma program and support your aftercare as you reintegrate into daily life.

How Panchakarma can help you:
  • People often choose Panchakarma treatment for digestive discomfort, low energy, stress, unsettled sleep, seasonal transition or as part of a longer plan for chronic concerns.
  • Think of an Ayurvedic detox as a complement to your regular medical care rather than a replacement.

* You’ll book securely through Fresha, our booking partner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need an Ayurvedic doctor’s consultation before booking Panchakarma treatment?

Because Panchakarma treatment is completely individualised, our Ayurvedic doctor must assess your constitution, current imbalance, digestive strength and general health. They can then prescribe the duration, sequence, and therapies in your Panchakarma program.

Some cleansing therapies are not suitable during pregnancy, acute illness or recovery from surgery. Screening ensures your Ayurvedic detox is appropriate for you.

Panchakarma treatment is a supervised program delivered in a set sequence. Most home detoxes rely on juice cleanses or fasting without professional guidance.

An Ayurvedic detox nourishes you with suitable meals and hands-on therapies from trained therapists. Your Ayurvedic doctor also tailors the plan to your specific health concerns.

Panchakarma treatment works best under close supervision, which is the foundation of doing it safely. A trained expert can tell when your body is responding well and when a therapy needs adjusting.

Herbal medicines deserve care too, as some Ayurvedic products contain harmful levels of heavy metals. Ask about the source and quality of every herbal preparation you receive. Tell your GP about your Panchakarma treatment, especially if you take prescription medicines.

Your Panchakarma treatment combines several therapies chosen for you and given in a set order. Your program may include the following.

  • Abhyanga: warm herbal oil massage worked deep into your skin and muscles.
  • Shirodhara: a steady stream of warm herbal oil poured over your forehead to help calm your mind.
  • Pizhichil: warm herbal oil poured continuously over your body during a rhythmic massage.
  • Udvartana: a warm oil massage finished with a gentle scrub made from powdered herbs.
  • Garshana: light dry brushing with a soft fabric mitt to refresh your skin and support circulation.
  • Swedana: an individually prepared herbal steam bath that keeps your head and heart cool.
  • Kizhi: pouches containing Ayurvedic herbs, massaged into your joints and tissues.
  • Nasya: warm herbal oil applied to your nasal passages after a head and shoulder massage.
  • Basti: a herbal enema, usually the final treatment of each day.

Shorter Panchakarma treatments sometimes fit around light work, but deeper programs work best when you reduce commitments and rest. We recommend setting aside consecutive treatment days and avoiding strenuous work and exercise. Our Ayurvedic doctor discusses your schedule with you during the consultation.

Yes, our Ayurvedic doctor gives specific preparation instructions before your Panchakarma treatment. These may include a simple warm diet, herbal teas, hydration, and avoiding processed foods, alcohol, heavy meals, and other items. Follow your individual plan rather than generic detox rules found elsewhere.

You might notice temporary tiredness, changes in bowel habits, mild headache or emotional sensitivity, especially early in your Panchakarma treatment.

Tell your therapist and Ayurvedic doctor how you feel each day so your plan can be adjusted. Any severe, persistent or worrying symptoms need prompt attention from your GP.

Some individual consultations or recognised complementary therapies may be claimable with certain health funds, though Panchakarma itself is not automatically covered. Check directly with your health fund or insurer and ask our team what receipts we can provide.

Your Ayurvedic detox continues at home with guidance from your Ayurvedic doctor. You receive specific instructions on diet and on the herbs and oils to use.

You gradually return to your usual diet over the following days. A follow-up visit lets your Ayurvedic doctor review your progress. You receive guidance on a light, nourishing diet, daily routine, rest, and ongoing support. We usually recommend a Rejuvenation phase, including herbs or strengthening treatments, to rebuild your energy and maintain what your program achieved.

Your first step is an initial consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor at Ayurvedic Wellness Centre. Call us at +61 410 315 465 to request your consultation and choose 3 or 9 days that fit your life.

Bring a list of your current medications and any recent test results to that first visit. Your Ayurvedic doctor can then plan an Ayurvedic detox at a pace your body can welcome.
