Dr Deepika was so supporting in my menopause journey. I was suffering with night sweats and she was able to alleviate them immediately. I am now off herbs and still no night sweats.

Understanding Ayurveda, the Science of Holistic Healing
Ayurveda is a complete system of natural medicine that treats the whole person, not just symptoms. It began in India over 3,000 years ago and was recorded in Sanskrit texts including the Charaka Samhita and the Sushruta Samhita. These texts describe three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They are the energies that shape your constitution, and illness begins when they fall out of balance.
Ayurvedic treatments start with a consultation to identify your dosha and what caused the imbalance. From there, our licensed practitioners build a personalised plan covering your diet, herbal medicine, Ayurvedic massage and daily routine. Ayurveda works alongside your existing medical care, never instead of it.
Conditions Ayurveda can help with:
Ayurvedic Massages and Treatments Offered
We start by listening. Our qualified Ayurvedic doctors ask about your sleep, digestion, energy and stress, then create a treatment plan that fits your life.
A soothing head-to-toe massage with warm herbal oils. It improves circulation, leaves your skin soft and nourished, and releases tension in your body.
Our signature Ayurvedic treatment is for anyone worn down by constant stress. You receive warm herbal oils and a calming touch; no rush, no talking. Most people drift off partway through and wake up reset.
It starts with a relaxing head and full-body massage, followed by Kizhi therapy where warm herbal pouches infused with 18 therapeutic herbs are gently pressed into sore spots.
Reconnect with your partner while rejuvenating your mind and body. Couples receive a foot soak, a head massage and a full-body massage side by side.
Panchakarma is a deeper cleanse personalised to you that clears toxins building up in your body. Only our Ayurvedic doctors can prescribe it after a consultation.
What is Your Dosha?

Why Choose Ayurvedic Wellness Centre?
Since 2011, the Sydney community has trusted us for authentic Ayurvedic treatments. Countless clients have come through our doors over fifteen years, and the 5-star reviews they leave online prove what they found here: long-term wellness, not just relief today.
Here are just some of the reasons why people keep coming back to Ayurvedic Wellness Centre.
Licensed Ayurvedic Doctors
A qualified M.D. doctor guides every treatment, and they work alongside your GP, never against them. You see the same practitioner each time, so your history is known without repeating it.
Personalised Treatment Programs
Our treatments are not a one-off session. A single massage feels good for a day. Our program gives your body something to build on well after you leave the room.
Adapted for Australian Life
We apply classical Ayurvedic therapies to the conditions you live in. Your personalised treatment accounts for Australian summers, wet autumns and the pollen that arrives with spring.
Convenient Location in Bondi
Our sanctuary is a short walk from Bondi Junction station with convenient parking if you drive. Our rooms remain quiet and calm, and our opening hours fit around your working week.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is Ayurvedic massage different from a regular (Swedish/Remedial) massage?
Ayurvedic massage is more nurturing and oil-focused than a Swedish or remedial massage and is not primarily a deep-tissue technique. It uses generous amounts of warm herbal oil applied in flowing, rhythmic strokes that follow an Ayurvedic approach to balancing your body and nervous system.
What is a "dosha"? And do I need to know mine before booking?
You don’t need to know your dosha before booking an Ayurvedic massage for relaxation. Your dosha is your natural energetic constitution in Ayurveda, and our therapist chooses a suitable oil for you from the form you complete before your treatment. If you have ongoing health concerns or want a more clinical treatment plan, we recommend a doctor’s consultation first.
Can Ayurvedic massages help with my specific issue?
Our Ayurvedic doctor can assess whether Ayurvedic massage suits your overall health, symptoms and specific issue, but this assessment does not replace physical therapy. Bring any relevant medical records to your consultation and keep working alongside your GP.
Are Ayurvedic massages safe?
No single package suits everyone. Some treatments involve extensive oil, heat, strong exfoliation or Shirodhara. Read the inclusions carefully before booking and complete our form honestly. Contact us if you are pregnant, unwell, have recently had surgery or have a medical or skin condition.
What do I wear, and do I have to get undressed?
For full-body massages, you undress only to your comfort level and remain professionally draped throughout. You can keep your underwear on. Our therapist explains each stage first and only uncovers the area being treated.
What oils are used, and will I react to them?
We choose warm herbal oils according to the treatment and your needs, but natural products can still cause reactions. Please disclose sesame or nut allergies, sensitive skin or any previous reactions before your appointment.
How much pressure is used on Ayurvedic massages?
Pressure ranges from a very light, sustained touch to moderate pressure, depending on the point and your comfort. It should never feel sharp or forceful, and our trained therapists adjust to your feedback during the treatment.
How should I prepare? Can I eat first? Should I avoid perfume?
Eat a light meal one to two hours before your appointment. Arrive hydrated and at least 10 minutes early, wearing comfortable, older clothes. Avoid perfume, aftershave and strongly scented lotion.
Does health insurance cover Ayurvedic massages?
Some recognised complementary therapies may be claimable with certain health funds. Check directly with your health fund or insurer, and ask our team about the receipts we can provide.
What happens after each Ayurvedic massage?
After your Ayurvedic massage, you relax in our meditation room with a complimentary tea.
