Ayurvedic Wellness Centre won the Beauty & Cosmetic Services category at Waverley Council’s Brightest & Best Business Awards 2026. We accepted the award on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at the iconic Bondi Pavilion overlooking Bondi Beach. If you have trusted us with your care, this win belongs to you as much as to us.
According to Waverley Council’s 2026 award descriptions, this category honours businesses offering beauty treatments, self-care services and holistic wellness support. This makes it a natural home for a clinic built on traditional Ayurvedic massage and personalised care.
We shared the shortlist with four respected local businesses: Laser by Tom, Melt Nail Bar, Sage Beauty and The One Bondi. Being alongside them made the result more meaningful for our team and reminded us how much talent the Waverley area holds.
We were also named one of the top six finalists for Business of the Year. This award goes to the highest-performing business across the program. Under the 2026 terms and conditions, every eligible entrant is considered automatically, so this shortlisting came purely from our business performance.
As category winners, we receive a trophy and an award certificate signed by the Mayor of Waverley. These are proudly displayed in our Bondi Junction clinic, where you can see them on your next visit.
How competitive the 2026 awards were
Ayurvedic Wellness Centre made the finals from a field of 242 Waverley businesses. This is a large turnout for a local awards program. For context, Waverley Council reported 150 entries in the 2025 awards.
Any business operating in the Waverley local government area can enter, according to the council’s Brightest & Best Business Awards page. Shopfronts, village businesses and home-based operators all nominate themselves in categories that fit them. This open door makes the final field varied and hard to stand out in.
How the winners were judged
Winners were decided through two rounds of judging plus an independent mystery shopper assessment. No judge sits on more than one round, so each stage has a fresh and impartial panel.
Between August and September 2026, an independent mystery shopper visited every finalist. The shopper booked and received a service anonymously, just as you would. The care that earned this award is the care you receive on any ordinary day with us.
What this award means for your care
This award shows authentic Ayurveda has a valued place in Sydney’s wellness community. We have been part of that community since opening our clinic in 2011, and our approach has not changed. Every plan starts with you: your constitution, current imbalances and lifestyle.
Local recognition also matters to a small clinic like ours. It helps us retain skilled therapists and keep traditional treatments available in Bondi Junction, where running a business can be expensive.
