The next Ayurvedic Information Night

Details

Ayurveda, the traditional system of healing in India, is an ancient pathway for preventing disease and maintaining wellbeing. It recommends that we undertake seasonal detoxing to nip disease processes in the bud and to keep us feeling more relaxed, energetic and vital. The detoxing process is much more than sticking to a strict diet, it is a holistic process which encourages us to cleanse our entire being – physically, emotionally and mentally. As such various self-care practices including yogic stretches, yogic breathing exercises, meditation and even self-oil massage are prescribed.

In addition specific massage treatments using warm herbally medicated oils are used to facilitate deeper levels of detoxing. These include whole body abhyanga (warm oil massage), shirodhara (where two litres of warm oil is gently poured in a steady stream over your forehead and eyebrow centre) and marma point stimulation (where vital energy points are pressed on to release energetic blockages in the body).

Specific Ayurvedic medicinal herbs are also used to help the body get rid of toxins, known as “ama” in Ayurveda. Come along and learn about detoxing from the point of view of this ancient Indian science at our info night on Thursday 5th September at the Ayurvedic Wellness Centre.

There are limited seats.  Booking essential so call us 9389 2581 or order a ticket here to reserve your seat.

If you are new to Ayurveda and are interested to find out more, the Ayurveda Info Night is a great way to come and interact with the doctors so you can ask questions and learn as much as you like about this ancient healing medicine. Enjoy a 6-course vegetarian meal, followed by chai  & chat with our Doctors.
